Chuck Goehring Biography
After graduating from Geneva College, Dr. Goehring felt called to the university setting for academic preparation as well as higher education as his profession. At the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Goehring received the M. Ed. and Ph.D. degrees and was Administrative Dean at two colleges in Ohio. He continued to work in music ministry on a part-time basis, and in 1980 made church music his full-time profession and served churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Additional graduate work in music was completed at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Most recently Dr. Goehring was Director of Music at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, a 6,500-member church with twenty vocal/handbell choirs and orchestra.

After retirement from St. Luke's in 2006, Chuck became artistic and founding director of VOCE, a professional vocal ensemble of twenty four singers in Indianapolis. In addition, Chuck teaches organ privately, provides services as an interim music director, consults with churches in worship/music issues, and provides leadership in conducting national music director/organist searches.

Clair Maxwell Biography
Clair Maxwell is the Director of Music at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church where he oversees the church's comprehensive music program for all ages. He also serves as organist and pianist for worship and accompanist for soloists and choirs. He is actively involved in worship and music planning with the church staff, and he coordinates the Celebrate the Arts series of programs held in the church sanctuary each year. Clair is also currently in his third season as Conductor and Artistic Director for the Choral Guild of Atlanta, the city's oldest community choral ensemble. The group performs four concerts each season around Fulton County and participates in various community events. In addition, he is a teacher of private organ and piano students as part of the Atlanta-based Lessons in Your Home and is active in the local musical community serving as vocalist and keyboardist for the Bruce Jones Band.

Prior to his appointment to the St. Luke's staff, Clair served as Director of Music and the Arts at Doylestown Presbyterian Church in Doylestown, PA and Director of Music Ministries and Organist at the United Methodist Church of Red Bank, NJ. He was also previously the Associate Conductor and Accompanist for the Shrewsbury Chorale in Monmouth County, NJ. His musical traing consists of a Bachelor of Music degree from the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory and a Master of Music degree in Organ from the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Todd Wilson. He has had additional workshop coaching in organ, choral music, vocal technique, and conducting from John Weaver, René Clausen, James Jordan, Eric Nelson, and Judith Clurman, respectively.
